Specialist and Hospital Care

If a doctor believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care you will where possible, be given a choice of provider. The doctor will supply you with an Appointment Request on which will be printed a reference number, the hospital/clinic choice options you have made and the telephone contact numbers.

A second document printed with your unique password will also be given to you. On your return home you can telephone the hospital/clinic and make your appointment after giving the helpdesk your password.

Please note if you wish to cancel or change your appointment you will need your password. 

Travel Vaccinations

Our nursing staff are fully qualified to provide advice and appropriate protection for your holidays and business trips.

The number of vaccinations available under the NHS is limited. Please check with Patient Services who will be able to let you have all the necessary information and arrange a clinic appointment for you.

There is a fixed charge for a private prescription a member of staff will advise you. It is advisable to obtain your travel protection well in advance of your trip, as a period of time may be required for you to build up your immunity.
